Write Text downwards

Is it possible write text downwards like:
J
O
G
Y

I know I can write one character, validate it then write the next one below and so on, but, its very time consuming!

Also, I would like to know if there is a shortcut to validate a text or a paste comand.

If these options are not available, would Antonio please be kind enough to include it?
