Layer technique

Message par Bas F »

Dear all, first of all, Photfiltre is the best alternative for the most expensive PhotoShop. I was wondering if it is possible to use layers in Photofiltre. That's the only thing missing in it....

keep up the good work!

Virtual Layers ?

Message par Jim Clatfelter »

I may be wrong about this, but it seems to me that PF works in virtual layers just as it is. Again, I may be wrong, but I believe only PF and the full version of Photoshop haves the Fade command under the Edit menu. Whatever adjustment you make and whatever filter you apply can be faded in PF. An adjustment is applied as a layer on top, and you can fade the opacity to let the previous "layer" show through. You can fade the results of applying a filter the same way. You can even fade an image you've Pasted onto another one. Until PF gets Photoshop compatible plugins, I'm using a program called PhotoBrush to apply my plugins. I then Copy the result and Paste it into PF on top of the unfiltered version. Then I can Fade the opacity of the Pasted "layer." Works great! The only thing I miss in PF is the ability to use Photoshop plugins directly from PF. When I get that ability, I'll drop all other photo editors for PF. It's the greatest!

Yes portfirio,

I think you have to refresh your mind and your news.

From the begining of this year a new release of PhotoFiltre is born :
its a shareware release for 25 Euros and works with layers, like the great references of the market.
This release supports also many 8BF filters from PSP

His name is PhotoFiltre Studio.

I had it tried and bought, and never opened again The Gimp.

Have a look at the features :
