Make a selection to use with Text2path

Hi all,
How can I make a selection that can be used with the plugin Text2path.
When I make a selection and save it as pfs it can NOT be used with the plugin.
There must be a way....... but how??

Hi Marga,
You can also work with the plugin "Paste Inside"
- Copy any text
- draw the selection you wish (but you may keep some space free around the selection if you want to paste around)
- Filter/ Plug-in/Paste inside. In the Wrap section select Around and Preview
- You can increase Length to separate end of beginning of text
- you can rotate the text with the offset parameter.
