greyscale PF in Windows Viewer

Good morning all,
I turned a coloured photo into Greyscale and saved it.
Then Ik looked at it in the Windows Viewer (XP).
As thumbnail it still looked COLOURED.... and when I opened it up in Windows Viewer it is GREY...

I tried the same with Paint Shop Pro.... but there it is normal.
I shut the pc down and started it up again, but nothing had changed...

Of course it is not a problem... but I just wonder how this is possible.. :o

Who knows...??

Win XP get the thumb in Exif data. PhotoFiltre don't change Exif data and preserve it (see Preferences/ Saving)

Maybe the hidden document "thumbs.db" is not refresh.

You can refresh (F5) the thumbnail in your file in Windows Explorer.

Sorry, I dont speak english :(

Edit : thumbs.db is create when you see a file for generate thumbnails.

Maybe deleting thumbs.db can correct the problem... Of course it doesn't work if it's like Antonio said, because of the EXIF...

Exifer is the tool you need.
It allows you to refresh the thumbnail, between many other features.
Supports: English Germann language.
A patch available on a topic of this forum for french release.
