hello there,
i have been using PhotoFiltre for about 2 years now, i like the simplicity and efficiency.
recently i upgraded to the latest version 6.3.2, but i found the load save behavior have changed and it is no longer efficient.
when you load a picture from say c:\images\test.png
and then you edit the picture, and then click save, the save path goes to somewhere else
instead of c:\images\
in the pevious version, the save path always folows the load path, thus one can quickly
load, edit and save images.
now there are several extra steps, to find the target directory, change it to c:\images
and then save.
so what i will do is i will go back to the previous version. to me, i consider this a bug, because saving path must always follow loading path automatically, *unless* set by user to be another path.
thank you, and photofilter is the best and most efficient simple image processor, i have tried GIMP and a few others, they are a little complicated.
please keep up the good work.
thank you.
load/save behaviour bug

Re: load/save behaviour bug
Hi,
it seams you did't thought to the Preferences window : menu Tools / Preferences / thumb Folders
If you want to got back to the behaviour you wish, you have simply to uncheck the "Lock folders" box.
It hapends some times when loading a new release, that the PhotoFiltre.ini file will be overwrited.
To prevent this annoyance, you can do a backup of this file before loading the new release,
open and close the program, and restaure the PhotoFiltre.ini file.
