so here is the picture that im doing
http://img444.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... rgefi0.jpg
i just want the guy from left(adam) and the guy from the center that looks like vomitting(gerard) to be color and the others are black and white. i know how to make the other two guys black and white,i duplicated that picture because i know that i can't make gerard and adam to be colored at the same time. and now i want to flatten the image, its like combining ng 2 pictures(like in GIMP or photoshop).,i just cant find where is it.

So i better understand.
Generaly you have several ways to skin a cat, as likes to say Bill, from PF Tips'n Tricks.
- you can use the polygon tool and don't close the selection before to catch also the second object to keep in color.
If something remains between the two objects, you can do a new selection to turn it in gray.
- An other very interesting way, which be used for any local effects : the clone stamp tool with the "Corwin13 method" :
1° Ctrl + U to Duplicate the original image
2° Menu Edit/Define pattern
3° Activate the original image
4° Turn it in gray
5° Select the clone stamp tool and check the Pattern mode (Fixed is unchecked, Opacity 100)
6° Paint the objects to be colored, with a 50 radius for the center of the zone and with a 10 or 5 radius for the edges.
