Burned Edges Effect?

does someone know how I can add a burned/burnt edge to a picture in photofiltre (not photofiltre studio) please??

Yes, like that, i can't misunderstand.

This effect is get with a mask.
You can build it after some preview tests :
- apply the Flame.gif in PhotoMasque with white color
- select white with the magic wand
- apply Filter/Esthetic/Progressive contour with dark-Brown color.
When you will well control the process, you will figure out how realise a proper mask

Thanks-had to use the progressive contour twice,once with brown then with black-the only other question is can I somehow modify the flame mask so it looks more like the first image I added?? I dont know how to do this and there seems to be no adjustment for the size of the mask??

Fine, you have understood the mask can be applied several times to increase some effects.

The size can be adjust in a selection ; by default it works on the whole picture.
To increase the size of the effect, you can also increase the canvas size : right clic in the picture.
And crop a selection after the mask is applied.

To modify the mask, open it as a picture and turn it in RGB mode, then you can use the smudge tool to add white in black parts.
The mask must be done in gray colors. Full white parts doesn't apply anything on the picture...
When the result is that you expect, turn in Indexed colors and save it as gif in the mask folder with an other name.
