set a defined color

Hello,
how can I set a color defined by numbers (RGB or html hex) for the brush?
BTW, the color selection palette appears rather small. Is it possible to enlarge it and do a finer color selction this way?

it's not possible to enlarge it but you can click into the colored panel to show windows dialog box. You can use the color picker tool and set a html color #RRGGBB

I have always klicked into the palette and the rainbow area, resp., instead into the single color pane.
