hey,

i also have a problem with the selection, in a different way, but the threadtitle still fits, so i use this thread again... and because my english is waaay to bad to describe it, i show you what it is:

Image

i don't know, but it kinda looks like there is something in the backround, that display the selection in parts. i'm using vista for a week now, so maybe there is something i don't see now (like a said, mabye a program in the backround or something. i've already tried a lot...), but i think it's something else, because directly as vista and photofiltre studio 9.1.0 was installed, i'm getting the problem. and i've also tried photofiltre 6.3.1, but the same problem over there... so i guess the problem is programwise. any thoughts? 'cause DAYUM, that freakin' me out! ^^

...and again: my english is baaaad, i know, so sorry for that. ^^

edit: here, these screenshots explain the problem a bit more: screenshot 1, screenshot 2
description for what you've seen on the screenshots: on the first, i make a lot of selections, to show you, where the "hidden parts" are. and on the second, i moved the window, but the "hidden parts" moved with it.
so, the "hidden parts" are just in the window, not in the hole program. when i move the window, the hidden parts are exactly on the same spots.

oh, and i have to correct me. it's just a problem in photofiltre studio 9.1.0. photofiltre 6.3.1 works fine.

Hi,

did you try to modify : menu View / Antialias ?

Image

I can't repeat this behaviour in vista 32 bits. What is your vista release ? 32 or 64 bits ?
Get you the same behaviour after close and re-open PF Studio ?

tried that, don't solve the problem.

yeah, i've installed vista for my girlfriend and did the same things i did with my pc and she didn't get the problem with PFS...

vista 32 bit and what do you mean with "Get you the same behaviour after close and re-open PF Studio ?"? that the problem is exactly the same? yes, the "hidden parts" are still on the same spots. 100% identical.

So, if you don't get the problem with an other Vista, i think PF Studio isn't in cause.
Probably some problem with display parameters ?

what do you mean with "Get you the same behaviour after close and re-open PF Studio ?

Sometimes several heavy sequences of work can overflow memory or display functions in allocated parts of windows for the soft.
When the soft is shut off, generaly the memory is refreshed.
If the problem is the same after restart, i don't see what happens. :(

ok, that point goes to you, but... PF works fine... :?:

yepp, that's exactly what i've tried to say. ^^"

i've tried to close every program that works in the backround and generelly close every program and then start PFS, but nope... :(

but hey, maybe the graphic card driver is the problem. that's something i've not tried yet. i try and post the result later...

it's possible that vista don't manage device display exactelly like xp (clipping intersection for example). Can not try because no PC with vista for the moment
